Ive had an orchid for about a month?
Too much water including the spraying etc and just keep it moist but not wet. No less than 10 C. degrees and they do like a bit of direct or indirect sunlight. Just keep the mix damp and never wet as the plant and leaves will rot which could be the reason for the browning leaves now. You can place the pot on a window ledge on a saucer in your kitchen near the sink if you want to with about 3/8 or 10mm (about 3/8) of sand just kept moist to give it humidity. The stem of flowers gradually die off from the lowest bud and eventually the last one to drop is the top most which is quite normal as the flowering season ends. Sometimes you will get another spike grow from the centre of the plant when the first stem dies off.
