Would you ever stop with the rental car thing in the Netherlands already - oh, and wait until you see the cost for petrol, if you think the taxes are bad, and don't get me STARTED on parking the bloody thing - and look into using the train instead. Much more convenient, and works out a lot cheaper, even if you do get a taxi to and from the railway station.
