Would the execution of Saddam be a vaild historical event within the last 30 years and....?

does not fall into my professor's illegal topics: school shootings, terrorist attacks, cell phones, obesity, gay marriage, legalizing marijuana, lowering the drinking age, and abortion. The professor said first day that if we EVER pick these topics, we get an automatic zero so would Saddam being executed be a safe topic?
