Here is something I have not seen untill we got stew: Has anyone heard of parakeets satisfying their urges? ?

first off I don't know what stew is doing and feeling.. but has anyone heard of parakeets masturbating? He has a pink umbrella with bells on it and he will get on it and will hang on to the cage and will rub his parts on the edge of that umbrella ( I think his parts are right there) I told my sister he's playing and she said no she don't think so... this is not a joke also will it hurt him if I remove it from the cage because the bells ringing can be annoying at times.
