Should I learn Tamil or Hindi?

If you're staying in Tamil Nadu, you're much better off learning Tamil as Hindi is not popular there. English also helps in cities throughout India. However, if you're planning to tour India, Hindi is more helpful as it is spoken everywhere except the southern regions of India.
