I think that you made a very dumb mistake as you already said and that you owned up to it like a responsible adult. Many women try to erase the consequences by having an abortion but you recognized that this was a child and that it needed two loving and committed parents in order to thrive. You put your child first which is a very mature thing to do, many much older adults have not figured that one out yet. Good for you!
