Is reinforced-toe (and or heel) hosiery considered y or ugly?

I really don't feel that it matters that much. The reinforced-toe stockings are more about functionality than looks. The reinforcing does not take away from the look at all so i don't see how a woman would feel embarred. Actually it could be quite y. They are very clic and were worn a lot during the pin-up era (for their fuctionality). So now when a lot of people think "pin-up" these are one of the things that they think of.
